Floyd Raymer was born in Brazil, the son of an American father, a member of the Special Forces, and a Brazilian mother. His father’s career took the family around the globe, enriching Floyd’s exposure to diverse cultures from a young age.
He pursued his passion at Mackenzie University in Brazil, where he studied Industrial Design. Influenced profoundly by Pixar movies and the “Jurassic Park” film, Floyd was driven to explore the world of VFX and 3D Animation. This passion led him to the Vancouver Film School, and ultimately to Los Angeles, where he now resides.
Nowadays, Floyd cherishes the time spent with his family—his wife, two young daughters, and their pet dog. Between these precious moments, he has spent 18 years working across the VFX, film, commercial, and game industries, collaborating with some of the most talented and amiable professionals in the field.
Behind the scenes, Floyd is somewhat of a geek, dedicating time to learning new skills and developing innovative Maya tools to delight his animator friends.
So stay tuned! Something awesome is just around the corner!
